A squirrel was reported in a house on Doran Avenue at 10:33 a.m. The animal control officer was notified.

Shoplifting was reported from a business on Franklin Street at 11:07 a.m.

Police checked on a large bag left unattended on Hope Street at 12:03 p.m. It was a shopping bag filled with trash.

Damage to a stone wall was reported on Kickemuit Avenue at 12:51 p.m.

A Harrison Street resident reported being the victim of a scam at 2:35 p.m.

Eric R. Troiano, born 1977, of 327 High St., APt. #3F, Bristol, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. on Franklin Street and charged with DUI of liquor (BAC .15 or greater, first offense).

A caller on Hope Street reported someone had possibly tampered with their shed door at 7:26 p.m.

Police responded to a fight at Metacom Avenue and Francesca Lane at 7:49 p.m. As a result, Jessica N. Lubas, 23, of 45 Willow St., Tiverton, and Lorianne B. Lubas, 59, of 174 Julian St., Apt. #1, were both arrested. They were both charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, all first offenses).

Tuesday, May 7
Damage to vehicles was reported on Ambrose Drive at 6:21 a.m.

Credit card fraud was reported on Chestnut Street at 3:20 p.m.

A High Street resident reported at 4:27 p.m. that their significant other had removed an item from a vehicle to prevent them from leaving.

A Hope Street resident reported at 6:56 p.m. that tools had been stolen from their shed.

Wednesday, May 8
Michael E. Brum, 53, of 118 Church St., Apt. #2, Bristol, was arrested on Church Street at 12:14 a.m. following a report that he was standing outside of another person’s window yelling at them. He was charged with one count of domestic violence (disorderly conduct, first offense).

Thursday, May 9
A Bay View Avenue resident complained at 9:55 a.m. that there were people standing on a nearby roof yelling loudly on a “daily” basis.

An accident involving a car and an e-bike was reported near Tupelo and Hope Streets at 12:43 p.m. The parties involved refused a transport to the hospital.

Arianna M. Chen, 23, of 300 PPes Farm Apt. #RD34, Milford, Conn., was arrested at the Portside Tavern on Thames Street following a report that they had become disorderly. She was charged with one count of disorderly conduct, one count of obstructing an officer in execution of duty, and one count of resisting arrest. They were later arraigned and released.

Friday, May 10
Vandalism to a vehicle on Second Street was reported at 8:50 a.m.

A dumpster fire was reported on Metacom Avenue at 2:24 p.m. It was extinguished without issue.

Fraud was reported on Paddock Lane at 4:20 p.m.

A juvenile was reportedly operating an ATV at a high rate of speed on Fatima Drive at 5:18 p.m. Upon checking with the father, he said they were just testing out ATVs together.

Jorge Santos, 52, of 103 Appleton St., Cranston, was arrested on Metacom Avenue at 8:14 p.m. following the report of a reckless driver near Bay View Avenue. They were charged with DUI of liquor or drugs (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a chemical test (first offense). He was later transported to the ACI.

Saturday, May 11
A strong gas smell at the State Street dock on Thames Street caused a stir at 12:06 p.m. The harbormaster and DEM were notified of a fuel spill from a 15-foot vessel but the call to DEM was later cancelled as the harbormaster opted to handle the situation themselves.

Damage to a property on Metacom Avenue was reported at 6:50 p.m.

Sunday, May 12
Police spoke to “college kids” who were reportedly yelling in the area of Church Street at 1:05 a.m.

Police dispersed a group of people from Constitution Street at 1:40 a.m. after receiving a report someone was banging loudly on a car window and possibly having a fight.

A seagull that was struck by a vehicle near the bike path on Poppasquash Road was declared deceased at the scene at 8:11 a.m.

A fight on Wood Street between neighbors brought out police ay 1:19 p.m. They were separated without further incident.

A caller on Wapping Drive reported that a roommate had broken the window to their living area at 11:15 p.m. They were advised to have no contact with the other for the rest of the evening.
