Last year, the Barrington High School boys volleyball team struggled when they squared off against Westerly. This year, they swept Bulldogs in three straight — 25-17, 25-12, 25-17.

The victory pushed Barrington’s record to 6-1 with one game left to play in the first half of the season. The Eagles take the court against Woonsocket on Wednesday, April 24.

“The team is developing an all-around offense and contributions come from everyone,” said BHS Coach Christian Lambert. “Defense and ball control are an integral park of developing an offense and the focus on those skills has paid off.”

Against Westerly, Barrington’s Sang Min Park tallied four aces, two digs, and 22 assists, on his journey toward a record-setting 1,500 career assists.

Contributing both on offense and defense is Cam Kelley. He tallied 10 digs and eight kills.

“James Ciummo is a beast at the net with six kills and two blocks,” added Coach Lambert.

Max Oberacker is the team’s go-to server. He tallied fives aces against Westerly and also recorded three kills.
