Ann M. (O’Grady) O’Brien, 87, of Elizabeth Road, died peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016. She was the wife of the late William O’Brien.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Patrick J. “Pete” and Mary C. “Molly” (Judge) O’Grady, she was a lifelong resident of Barrington.
Mrs. O’Brien was a clerk for Almacs-Shaw’s Supermarket for 25 years. She was a crossing guard for the Town of Barrington School Department at Primrose Hill School. She also worked for the former New England Telephone Co.
Ann was a communicant of St. Luke Church. She enjoyed reading, knitting and spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Lachance and her husband David of Barrington; a sister, D. Paddy Coffey and her husband Jerry of Barrington; three grandsons, Dave Lachance and his wife Heather, William Lachance and his wife Jess and Patrick Lachance and his wife Jess and eight great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Eileen McGinn.
Her funeral was held on Monday, Aug. 8, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington.
