Barbara Waterman, 75, of Barrington, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to Byron A. Waterman.

She was born in Allentown, Pa. to the late George Shaw Story and late Barbara Walters Story. Barbara lived in Barrington for 60 years and was a Barrington school teacher for 25 years. She had a BS in English from RIC and a Master’s Degree from Brown University. She belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution and Barrington Yacht Club. 

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline Williams of Concord, Mass., and two brothers, George S. Story Jr. of New Bern, NC, and Christopher Story of Key Largo, Fla. She also leaves three grandchildren. 

The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery. Visit smithmason.com for on line condolences.
