Dennis M. Moniz, 62, lifelong resident of East Providence, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016. He was husband to the late Christine Moniz (Huling) and son to the late Elisha and Etta Moniz.

Dennis M. Moniz, 62, of East Providence

Dennis M. Moniz, 62, lifelong resident of East Providence, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016. He was husband to the late Christine Moniz (Huling) and son to the late Elisha and Etta Moniz.

Dennis was a teacher at Cranston West High School where he taught automotive repair technology at the Career and Technical Center for many years. Previous to that he was employed at RI Trade Shop School in Providence. 

He leaves behind two sons, Peter Moniz of East Providence, and Brian Moniz of Utah, and a daughter Elizabeth Moniz of North Carolina. He also leaves two sisters, Janice Peters of Rumford and Joyce Nystedt of Dover, NH.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m. at Barrington Baptist Church, 25 Old County Road, Barrington, RI. All are invited to attend a reception at the church and to greet the family following the service
