Eileen Oliveira, 79, Tiverton

Eileen (DeMoura) Oliveira, 79, of 164 Furey Ave., Tiverton, formerly of Fall River, died on Satuday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Heatherwood Nursing & Subacute Nursing Home. Newport, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.  Born in Somerset, Mass., on July 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late August and Lena (Camara) DeMoura of Somerset, Mass. 

Eileen is predeceased by her loving husband, John Oliveira (Dec. 24, 2004) and her sister Sheila (DeMoura) Nascimento of Swansea.  Mrs. Oliveira was raised in Somerset.  She had worked for Bank of New England as a Banking Customer Service Manager. 

Eileen enjoyed camping, traveling, floral arrangements and long walks.  She was a loving mother of eight children, 

She is survived by four sons. Mark Oliveira of Florida, Bruce Oliveira of Red Lodge, Mont.,  Glenn Oliveira of Rehoboth, Mass., and Jeffrey Oliveira of Tiverton; four daughters, Deborah Olson of Gloucester, Mass., Dawn Oliveira  and Karin Medeiros-Luther of  Bristol, and Meslissa Fraze of Columbus, Mont.; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  Eileen is survived by two brothers, Robert and Francis DeMoura of Somerset.

A Catholic service will be held in Tiverton at St. Theresa Church, 265 Stafford Road,  at 10 a.m. on Thursday.  Burial service is at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements are with the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home.  www.almeida-pocaset.com for on line guestbook.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc. of RI, 245 Waterman St, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906
