Janet H. "Bonnie" Christ, 75, of Barrington, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017. She was the wife of the late George Fritz Christ. She was the daughter of the late Phillip N. and Janet Hall. Bonnie was the sister of the late Joyce N. Hall.

A lifelong resident of Barrington, Bonnie graduated from Barrington High School in 1959 and became an x-ray technician in 1963 at Roger Williams Hospital. She later worked for RI Hospital and retired in 2007 after 31 years of faithful service.

Bonnie is survived by her 3 loving children; Cammie Gregory and her husband Greg, Andrew Christ and his wife Nicole, Nicholas Christ and his wife Penelope. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday, Feb. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Ave., Riverside, RI 02915. Burial will be private. A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
