To the editor:
Serving as an elected official is not an easy job. I commend those that have been dedicated to serve on our behalf.
Over the last year I have gotten more involved with local politics after becoming frustrated with the process in which our school committee voted to change the school start times.
My experiences left me feeling we need a more responsive school committee. Individuals who will follow established standards when investigating new initiatives. Individuals who will keep taxpayers in mind when developing their budget and will promote transparency.
For these reasons I am supporting Gina Pine for school committee.
I believe she will preserve the excellent education Barrington students have been receiving for years. Candidate Pine will be objective in her decision making process and is passionate that teachers and students receive the necessary materials and support to ensure an exceptional, safe learning environment.
Also, her training as a clinical social worker will be beneficial in helping address the recent concerns about student stress.
Please visit Gina's website www.pineforschoolcommittee to learn why you need to vote for Pine!
