Rep. Malik earns District 67 endorsement

'This is the endorsement that really matters…" says Rep. Malik

Rep. Jan Malik (D-District 67, Barrington and Warren) recently received the unanimous endorsement of the District 67 Representative Committee in his bid for re-election.

“This is the endorsement that really matters because it makes me the endorsed candidate listed first on the ballot in the Democratic Primary,” Rep. Malik said in recent press release. “The committee is made up of three people from Warren and two from Barrington, all of whom live in my district.”

The Barrington Democratic Town Committee had previously endorsed Malik’s opponent, Jason Knight, but Rep. Malik reminded voters that the Barrington Democratic Town Committee is not comprised completely of people who live in District 67.

“I am honored to be my district’s endorsed candidate and I am proud to put my record of accomplishments before the voters,” Rep. Malik said. “The people who I serve know I am always fighting on their behalf to lower taxes, improve the economy and enhance the quality of life that we all enjoy in Warren and Barrington.”
