Late last month, a motorist called Barrington police to report an erratic driver on Middle Highway near Barrington Middle School at about 2:10 p.m., which is when school dismisses.
Officers responded to the scene but could not immediately locate the suspect vehicle.
An officer later found a car matching the description parked on Donald Ross Road, with the driver sitting behind the wheel. Upon approaching the driver's side window, the officer could allegedly smell the odor of alcohol and spotted two half-empty bottles of vodka inside the car.
The motorist, Jason Mario Estacio, 29, of Bristol, allegedly failed the field sobriety test. On Monday, Oct. 29, police charged Mr. Estacio with DUI-drugs or alcohol-first offense, and refusing to submit to a chemical test.
