Angelina Cioe, 98, of Barrington

Angelina Cioe, 98, of Whipple Avenue, died peacefully on Saturday, June 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Anthony H. Cioe Sr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Mario and Rosa (Ciccerone) Coia, she was a lifelong resident of Barrington. 

Mrs. Cioe was a bookkeeper for the Cioe Brothers Construction Co. for 25 years before retiring in 1995. 

Angelina was a communicant of Holy Angels Church.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sharing recipes and spending time with her loving family. 

She is survived by a daughter, Theresa A. LoBello of Riverside; two sons, Anthony H. Cioe Jr. of Barrington and David P. Cioe of Barrington; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Coie. 

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
