Two Barrington Youth Basketball Association teams won early-season tournaments in Warwick recently.
The sixth grade team, which is coached by Vin Scandura, Tim Murphy, Erik Godwin and Mike Willard, defeated West Warwick, East Greenwich and Lincoln-Cumberland in early round games, and then knocked off East Greenwich again in the finals. The team includes Maddox Godwin, Jake Ignall, Quinn McNamara, Quinn Murphy, Spencer Proulx, Jack Robinson, Nick Scandura, Gabe Tanous, Brett White and Owen Willard.
The seventh grade BYBA team, coached by Mark Bonneau and Mike Raffa, defeated Warwick and Portsmouth en route to the championship. The team includes Luke Bavier, Zachary Berlinsky, Sean Bonneau, Leo Caldarella, Danny Coogan, Catcher Dobron, Michael Fay, Beck Kegelman, Liam O'Neal, Matthew Raff, and Aidan Zabriskie.
