The Barrington High School girls track team is 4-0 after easily defeating four teams during a meet at Tiverton High School on Monday, April 1.

The Eagles defeated Tiverton 148-4, Tolman 146-6, Shea 147-4, and East Providence 122-31.

The Grover sisters won three events at the meet. Claire won the high jump with a height of 5 feet, and also captured gold in the 300-meter hurdles, while Elizabeth Grover won the 100-meter hurdles. 

Olivia Middleton won two events — the long jump with a distance of 15 feet, and the triple jump with a distance of 32 feet. 

Stephanie Chun won the 1,500-meter race with a time of 5:29, and Julia Howarth won the 400-meter race with a time of 63.5 seconds. 

Meghan Zitzmann was tops in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:36 and Jordyn Palethorpe won the 200-meter race with a time of 27.6 seconds. Caroline Livingston finished first in the 3,000-meters with a time of 11:02. 

The Eagles won two relay events at the meet. Middleton, Howarth, Claire Grover and Palethorpe won the 4x100, while Chun, Zitzmann, Meredith Kaplan and Noelle Teixiera won the 4x400. 

BCA student

A junior at Barrington Christian Academy won three events at the regular season meet in Tiverton. 

Maddy McGloin won the shot put (29 feet, 4.5 inches), discus (84 feet, 2 inches) and the hammer (146 feet, 1 inch).
