Five members of the Springfield College women's gymnastics program, including Barrington native Nicole Silva, competed in the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Individual National Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Of the five women's gymnasts, four were named All-Americans in their respective events, as Nicole Silva earned First-Team All-American honors in the floor exercise, Marissa DeAngelo (Brookfield, Conn.) picked up her second All-America honor of the weekend on vault, sophomore Jessica Clemens (South Setauket, N.Y.) registered the first All-America recognition of her young career on the uneven bars, while in her first year with the program, freshman Tali Twomey (Cotuit, Mass.) was named an All-American in the floor exercise.

Beginning the night in the first rotation, Silva started Springfield College off in impressive fashion, as she posted a 9.675 to finish sixth overall in the event, good for First-Team All-America honors. In addition, Nicole also received Academic All America honors for maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher while participating in her sport.
