A Governor Bradford Drive resident in Barrington contacted police on Saturday morning, July 14, after he noticed that his neighbor's pool had been drained onto his property.
The man told police he could see where mulch and other vegetation had been washed away by an apparent heavy flow of water. Police responded to the residence and confirmed the man's findings.
Officers then spoke to the neighbor whose pool had been drained. The woman seemed a bit surprised by the situation, said police. She told officers she had hired a company to do some work on her pool but she had no idea they were going to empty it.
Police then called the manager of the pool company, who said they were, indeed, working on the pool. It was not clear whether the company planned to address the neighbor's washed out yard.
