Barrington police are investigating an accident between a vehicle and a bicyclist that occurred on Saturday, May 26.

A 12-year-old Barrington girl told police a vehicle had stopped and was letter her cross over Nayatt Road near the intersection with Collins Court, but when she crossed in front of the SUV it allegedly struck her leg and rear bike tire. The girl told police she was not injured.

Police later tracked down the owner of the vehicle, who said his 16-year-old daughter was driving the vehicle on Saturday, but she denied striking the 12-year-old girl.
