A Rumstick Road resident in Barrington contacted police on Monday, Sept. 17, after she noticed some pieces of jewelry missing from her home.

The resident said the jewelry went missing between Aug. 21 and Sept. 17. The woman told police she went to get a pair of earrings and noticed that the box she keeps them in had been moved. She opened the box and saw that the earrings were missing.

While searching for the missing earrings, she realized that other pieces of jewelry were also missing. The resident estimated the total value of the missing jewelry at about $2,000.

Police said there was no sign of forced entry at the home.
