Barrington Police charged a 14-year-old Barrington boy with disorderly conduct-urination in public on Monday, April 8.
Police said a library employee discovered a puddle of urine on the basement floor of the building on Thursday, April 4. Library officials reviewed video footage from the security cameras inside the building and discovered a group of four teenage boys who were involved in the incident at about 5:30 p.m. on April 4. It also appeared that the boys had tried to pull a water fountain off the wall.
Library officials shared the footage with police who reviewed the video — officers were able to identify all four boys. Police spoke with the boys and were able to identify the 14-year-old who urinated on the floor. Police said that boy later admitted to the act.
