Cranston Mayor and candidate for governor Allan Fung spoke with a group of Barrington High School students recently.

Mayor Fung took time during his campaign to speak with the BHS Young Politicians Club, which is a student-run bipartisan organization that is "committed to engaging political issues from a variety of viewpoints."

Mayor Fung explained to the local students how he started in politics and what it is like to be a politician.

"His life's journey was both engaging and inspiring. We appreciate the priceless perspectives speakers bring to our conversations," wrote BHS student Will Short.

The BHS Young Politicians Club has spent the last year debating and discussing immigration reform, healthcare reform and reforms to the justice system.
