The Barrington High School boys soccer team defeated Moses Brown 1-0 in a Division I play-in game in Providence on Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Evan Memoli provided the only goal of the game — the Barrington High School player scored from 25 yards out, rocketing the ball over the Moses Brown goalkeeper and into the corner of the goal.

Barrington did not allow a single shot on net to the Quakers in the second half of the game.

“We played our best soccer,” said Barrington High School Coach Don Denham.

With the win, Barrington advanced to the Division I playoff quarterfinals — the Eagles were scheduled to play at Bishop Hendricken on Friday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. Barrington is seeded 10th in the playoffs, while the Hawks are the second seed.
