The Providence County Grand Jury has indicted two East Bay men on charges of first degree robbery and conspiracy.

Kiefer H. McCaughley, 26, of 180 Bay View Ave., Apt. 1, Bristol, and Adam Justin Machado, 24, of 41 Fern Drive, Warren, are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on July 12.

Bristol police arrested Mr. McCaughley on Jan. 16; Mr. Machado was arrested on Jan. 16. The Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office alleged that the two conspired to rob an individual in Bristol.

Bristol Police Capt. Brian Burke would not comment on the nature of the charges, as the files are sealed once a Grand Jury indictment is handed down. Bristol police originally charged Mr. Machado with felony conspiracy, felony assault with intent to commit specified felonies and disorderly conduct. Mr. McCaughley was originally charged with first degree robbery and felony conspiracy.
