Elizabeth Anne Brooks, 66, of Barrington, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 at her home in Barrington.

Ms. Brooks was born July 18, 1951 in Fall River, Mass.

She is the daughter of the late William J. and the late Helen Cosgrove Brooks.

She is survived by siblings, Kathleen Cheever and her husband John Cheever of Portsmouth, and Ron Brooks and his wife, Dr. Judith Bevis of Swampscott, Mass. She is also survived by two nieces and four nephews: Amy Cheever Synnott of Kaneohe, Hawaii; Ellen Brooks of Swampscott, Mass.; Brooks Cheever and Patrick Cheever of Middletown, Daniel Cheever of Seattle, Wash.; and Drew Brooks of Pikeville, Ky.

She was a graduate of St. Anthony's School in Portsmouth and Rhode Island College. In 1987 she was awarded a master's degree from Salve Regina University. Prior to retirement, she held several positions with the State of Rhode Island, most recently as a vocational rehabilitation counselor.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road in Portsmouth.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church, 2836 East Main Road in Portsmouth.

Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.
