Becky Chace Band entertains during Summer Concert Series performance

As her website describes conclusively, “Becky Chace believes in the power of music.”

That statement was never more in evidence than it was this past Sunday night at the Barrington Town Beach during a live Summer Concert Series performance. The Becky Chace Band made some beautiful music that evening, much to the delight of those in attendance.

Becky’s entertainment experience runs deep. With her band (and longtime sidekick Brian Minisce), she’s opened concert and festival shows for such acts as B.B. King, America, Keb Mo, Melissa Etheridge, and Joan Jett at the Newport Sunset Music Festival and Twin River Casino. She’s shared more intimate stages such as the Narrows Center for the Arts and Stone Soup as an acoustic act with the likes of Judi Collins and Cheryl Wheeler.
Becky has also received critical acclaim for her recordings, and has proven to be a very prolific songwriter releasing 9 CDs, among other accomplishments.

Aside from guitarist Brian Minisce, the Becky Chace Band is also comprised of bass player Mark Minisce, and Eric Hastings on drums.

Those gathered at Barrington Town Beach on Sunday night were treated to an evening of great music.

The Becky Chace Band is no stranger to folks living in this area. The group has appeared several times at the Fourth of July Concert Series in neighboring Bristol, as well as other venues. Their popularity has never been greater.

Bristol Fourth of July Concert Series chairman, Raymond “Sonny” Lavey, appreciates the Becky Chace Band’s enormous talent.

"The Becky Chace Band has always been a favorite show at the Bristol 4th of July Concert Series,” he said. “After I went to one of their live shows years ago, I knew they would be a huge success in Bristol. They met all of my expectations and more. They're professional, pleasant to work with, and their material, especially their originals, is excellent.”

Becky was also chosen Best Female Vocalist five times by the readers of the Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll, and has been called, "one of the most celebrated singer/songwriters to come out of the Rhode Island area."

“The Barrington Beach show is one of the highlights of our summer,” said Becky. “We love to play in front of so many wonderful East Bay fans. I live in Barrington and all my neighbors come. It's a great time and the family atmosphere right on the water makes it a very special summer event."
