Police: Man yells at woman to pick up poop bag

Dog walker says she was going to pick it up on the way back

A Barrington resident contacted police on Tuesday, March 5, after a neighbor yelled at her.

The woman told police she was walking her dog in the area of Sowams Road and Linden Road, and when her dog pooped, she bagged the feces and then left the bag on the ground. She said she planned to pick up the bag on her way back from the walk.

But a man who lives nearby saw the woman leave the bag on the ground and allegedly hollered at her, telling her to pick up the poop and not leave it on the street.

The woman told police she tried to explain how she was going to retrieve the bag later on, but the man did not believe her. The woman asked police to speak the man, but officers could not locate him.
