Police: Out-of-state teens trespassing at Zion property
Security cameras, alarm company alert police to intruders
The alarm company that monitors the former Zion Bible College property in Barrington contacted police after a camera picked up footage of five people trespassing on the property on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at about 10:15 p.m.
Barrington Police officers responded to the area and located five individuals walking along Middle Highway, close to the Zion property.
Police stopped the people and spoke to them — they ranged in age from 17 to 19, and all were from out of state. Some were from Raynham, Mass. and Abington, Mass.
The teenagers told police they saw something online that said people could go on the property to explore. Police said that information was false.
Police contacted the parents of the two minors. No one was charged. Police told all the teenagers that there was a no trespass order in place on the property.
