Barrington Police said a 34-year-old Warren man was killed in the motorcycle accident that occurred late Thursday night, Aug. 31.

Police said Michael Dumont lost control of the motorcycle he was driving down Barneyville Road at about 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 31. Police said Dumont's motorcycle left the roadway near the Barrington-Swansea town line and struck a boulder along the side of the road.

Police said Dumont was ejected from the motorcycle. A previous report from the Barrington Fire Department stated that Dumont struck several trees and telephone pole wires before landing on the front lawn of a residence.

Police officers and firefighters performed CPR on Dumont at the scene. Officials said he was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

Police said speed and roadway conditions appeared to be factors in the crash.
