Police reminder: No parking on Nayatt Road
Police chief says cars parked on side of road create a dangerous situation
Barrington Police Chief John LaCross is reminding residents and non-residents that parking is not permitted along Nayatt Road.
Last weekend, people unable to find parking spaces in the dirt lot at the Tillinghast Place property owned by the Rhode Island School of Design on Nayatt Road, instead parked their cars, trucks and SUVs along the edge of Nayatt Road.
Chief LaCross said the parked cars created a dangerous situation for motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians on Nayatt. He said parking is not permitted on Nayatt, and added that he may request "No Parking" signs be installed along the road.
