Police respond to missing children report at playground

Children return 30 minutes later, had gone for a walk

Posted

On Friday, Sept. 8, Barrington police officers responded to the Kids Kove Playground after a woman said her children had gone missing.

The woman said she had been in the playground with her daughters, who were playing with friends. The friends' parent then went for a walk with all the children and when she failed to return a few minutes later, the woman became nervous.

She tried calling the other parent, but there was no answer. Eventually — about 30 minutes later — the group returned to the playground. They had been walking on a path in the woods behind the town hall property.
