Tree-trimming sparks neighbor dispute in Barrington
Residents wants incident documented in case tree dies
A Winthrop Drive resident contacted Barrington police on Friday afternoon, Nov. 30, regarding a civil matter.
The resident told police that his neighbor had hired a tree company to trim limbs off a tree that stands near the property line between his and the neighbor's houses. The limbs reportedly hung over the other neighbor's property.
The complainant told police he was upset about the situation for two reasons: First, no one told him the tree crew was coming to trim branches, and second, a few of the limbs may have damaged his fence.
The complainant told police he wanted the situation documented, just in case the tree later dies because of the trimming.
