Born in Woodbury Heights, NJ, a son of the late Peter and Mary (Quick) Vesey, he lived in Barrington 48 years.

Mr. Vesey was a vice president of sales and marketing for the Millard Wire Co., Warwick for over 20 years. He was able to continue working for Millard after his diagnosis of ALS with compassion and support from the LaCroix Family, his coworkers and his longtime friend, George Hess.

William was an avid golfer, skier and devoted Dallas Cowboys football fan. He also loved to volunteer at his children’s swim meets.

Mr. Vesey was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island Class of 1988.

Besides his wife and children, he is survived by four brothers, Michael Vesey of Calif., Robert and Peter Vesey, both of RI, and Brian Vesey of Mass.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, at Rhode Island Country Club, Nayatt Road, Barrington from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Calling hours will be private. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in William’s memory to Compassionate Care ALS, P.O. Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02764 or the ALS Association of RI, 2374 Post Road, Suite 103, Warwick, RI, 02886-2270 would be deeply appreciated.  Arrangements are by the W.
