Albert Laroche, 88, Bristol

Mr. Albert Laroche, 88, of St. Elizabeth Manor, formerly of Villa Avenue, Bristol, died peacefully Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Manor, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Julia V. (Alves) Laroche, who preceded him in death in May of 2003.  

Born and raised in Warren, he was a son of the late Jean and Mary (Stride) Laroche. A resident of Bristol for 66 years, Albert worked in the maintenance department of the former Carr-Fulflex Manufacturing Company in Bristol for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and a member and past grand knight of the Bristol Council #379, Knights of Columbus. Albert loved spending time with family and friends, especially time with his grandchildren.  

He is survived by three children, David Laroche (Karen) of Bristol, Mark Laroche of Riverside and Ann Marie Maloney (Peter) of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren, Kara A. Dennis, Peter G. Laroche, Tessa Baily Laroche, Will Baily Laroche and Eva Baily Laroche; and a sister, Annette Letoile, of Narragansett. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Laroche, and two sisters, Althea Goldevich and Eva Newman.  

Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Oct. 26, 4-7:00 p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth’s Manor Patient Activities Fund, 1 Dawn Hill Road,  Bristol, RI 02809.
