The Bristol Police Department responded to the following calls between Sept. 12 and Sept. 17:

Monday, Sept. 12

A resident complained of a neighbor leaving an old refrigerator outside with the doors on, a suffocation hazard for children. Police advised the owner to take the door off.

Tuesday, Sept. 13

Officers responded to calls of a fire on the beach at the Mt. Hope Boar Ramp around 12:30 a.m. Police advised the group of people to extinguish the fire.

Police twice responded to a loud verbal argument at Wood and St. Elizabeth streets at 12:45 a.m. and again just after 1 a.m. No arrests were made.

A resident on High Street called police to complain about a child crying in the house next door just before 7 p.m. There was no issue, just a couple children playing in the house.

Wednesday, Sept. 14

A graffiti artist reportedly vandalized a conservation sign at the end of Elmwood Drive. The Department of Public Works was notified to remove the damage.

A car was reportedly speeding and driving recklessly on Metacom Avenue while the driver threw garbage out the window at 4:30 p.m. Officers were unable to find the car.

A car on Robin Drive has reportedly been egged several times over the past few weeks. The owner declined to file charges or a report with police.

Thursday, Sept. 15

A resident on Sherry Avenue complained of two juveniles skateboarding in the street around 5 p.m. Police advised them to stay out of the middle of the road.

A car was reportedly vandalized on Sousa Street. Police filed a report.

A woman in a blue dress with long curly hair and glasses reportedly threw something at a bartender before leaving the bar on John Street around 11:30 p.m. Police filed a report but did not make an arrest.

Friday, Sept. 16

A resident on High Street reportedly heard screaming in the area just after midnight, and found someone’s identification on the ground. Police could not find anyone in distress. Officers returned the ID to its owner.

A man who lives on Sherman Avenue asked police to check his apartment because his ex-girlfriend texted him saying she was inside. There was no one there when police arrived.

Saturday, Sept. 17

Police investigated a suspicious man complaint on Dawn Hill Road at 1:45 a.m. When police arrived, the man took off on foot east town Metacom Avenue. Officers gave chance but could not find the man wearing a baggy sweatshirt and carrying a bag.
