The Bristol Police Department made the following arrests last week:

Weldon Corey Oblenis, 38, of 7 Munro Ave., Warren, was charged with violating a no contact order Nov. 21.

Bristol arrests: Domestic assault, DUI, cocaine possession

The Bristol Police Department made the following arrests last week:

  • Weldon Corey Oblenis, 38, of 7 Munro Ave., Warren, was charged with violating a no contact order Nov. 21.
  • Alicia Elizabeth Schultz, 33, of 1744 Thomaston Ave., Apt. 4, Waterbury, Conn., and Ronald Tetrault, 64, of 28 Vernon Ave., Bristol, were both charged with domestic assault after police were called to Vernon Avenue for a disturbance just after 3 a.m. Nov. 23.
  • Alan M. Jacobs, 27, of 28 Child St., Apt. 2, Warren, was arrested on a 6th District Court bench warrant.
  • Kimberly C. Horan, 27, of 524 Thames St., Newport, was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test after she was involved in an accident at Hope and Fales roads around 12:30 p.m. Nov. 26
  • Jason Sousa, 36, of 253 Russell Drive, Tiverton, was arrested on a 4th District Court bench warrant Nov. 27.
  • Cody J. Thomas, 19, of 59 St. Elizabeth St. Apt. 2, Bristol, was charged with possession of cocaine at the Prudence Ferry boat dock on Thames Street just before 5 p.m. Nov. 27.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
