Rita L. Zinno, 89, mother of OLMC pastor

Rita L. (Moon) Zinno, 89, of North Smithfield, died on Oct. 5, 2016,  at the St. Antoine’s Residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry P. Zinno. 

Born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Walter R. and Catherine (Redmond) Moon, she was a resident of North Smithfield for the past 13 years, previously residing in Greenville, RI, for two years and on Kentland Avenue, Providence, for most of her life. 

She is survived by her children: a son, Rev. Henry P. Zinno, Jr., pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol, two daughters, Joan Marie Marcotte Gregory and her husband Rick of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Barbara Ann Keenan and her husband Paul of North Smithfield. She leaves nine grandchildren and one great-grand daughter. 

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, in Bristol. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol, RI.
