Angela Rodrigues DaCosta, 79, Bristol

Angela Rodrigues (Silva) DaCosta, 79, of Magnolia Street, passed away on July 11, 2017, at home. She was the wife of the late Eduardo DaCosta.

Born in Capelo, Faial, Acores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Inacio daSilva and Florinda (Pereira) Silva. She is survived by her children, Edward DaCosta Jr. and his wife Renee, Frank DaCosta and his wife Candice, Tracy DaCosta and her wife Terri Ward, and Joe DaCosta and his partner Kathleen Terreault; and grandchildren Matthew DaCosta, Amanda DaCosta, Catelynn DaCosta, Olivia DaCosta, Madison DaCosta and Alexander DaCosta. She was the sister of Leotilde Silva and the late Etelvina Moitso and Joao Silva.
Mrs. DaCosta attended school in Portugal and worked for American Tourister and Carol Cable before retiring.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, July 14, 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bristol.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
