Bristol Police: Fake IDs, loud music and bickering neighbors

Bristol police officers made a handful of arrest from April 22 to 28, including a Roger Williams University student for disorderly conduct and a couple of people on warrants. Following is a summary of police incidents during that time.

Monday, April 22

A caller from King Philip Avenue called police after finding a firearm while cleaning out a closet from a previous tenant. An officer responded and determined it was a paintball gun.

David V. Flores Hernandez, 21, of Providence was charged with a Superior Court warrant.

Tuesday, April 23

An officer was called to Prospect Street for a property dispute. The officer determined it was not a police matter.

Someone called police to report a fire pit in the back yard of a Second Street residence at 7:33 p.m.

Wednesday, April 24

A caller from Rosita Avenue reported plants stolen at 10:15 a.m.

A caller from Mt. Hope Farm reported a sealed 55-gallon drum washed ashore. It turned out to be an old rain barrel.

A caller from 1776 Liquors reported a minor attempting to purchase alcohol with a fake ID at 4:50 p.m. Police issued a citation to a 19-year-old.

Thursday, April 25

Lauren B. Raphael, 29, of Providence, was charged with eight counts of obtaining money under false pretenses. She allegedly altered customer payments to inflate her tips at a Bristol restaurant.

Officers were called to the Almeida Court apartments on Bay View Avenue at 8:24 p.m. for a reportedly stolen vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

After being called to the Roger Williams University Recreation Center at 8:30 p.m., officers arrested Nathan Dionne, 21, of North Reading, Mass., and charged him with disorderly conduct. He was taken into custody, processed at the station and released back to campus security.

Two people were dispersed from Lower Ferry Road at 10:31 p.m.

Callers reported loud music coming from Roger Williams University at 9:48 p.m. and again at 10:31 p.m.

A caller from Gillary’s on Thames Street asked an officer to respond for an ID check at 11:18 p.m. The customer was gone before police arrived.

A caller from Sousa Street reported loud music coming from a truck parked in front of her residence at 10:02 p.m. The music stopped before an office arrived.

Friday, April 26

At 3:21 a.m., a caller told police a woman would not leave their residence. It turned out to be a mistake; the caller should have been calling police in Bristol, Conn.

At 11:03 a.m., a Hope Street resident reported an intoxicated man in front of their home.

A caller from the Bristol Harbor Inn reported a suspicious person inside a vehicle in the parking lot behind the library on Thames Street at 10:47 p.m. The person was allegedly making comments to passersby.

Saturday, April 27

After officers were called to a domestic disturbance on Wood Street at 12:56 p.m., they arrested Richard R. Lynch, 33, of 322 Wood St., Bristol, on a District Court warrant.

A Williams Street resident reported a bicycle stolen.

Officers were called to a verbal argument on Martin Avenue at 6:51 p.m.

A Lisa Lane resident called to complain about loud drum or band-like music coming from a neighboring residence at 10:28 p.m. An officer spoke to the homeowner regarding the noise.

Sunday, April 28

An officer dispersed a vehicle and its occupants from Lower Ferry Road at 12:13 a.m.

Another officer dispersed a vehicle and its occupants from the town beach area at 12:20 a.m.

A Cooke Street caller reported people being loud at 12:27 a.m. An officer spoke to the offending parties and advised them to quiet down.

A man who was screaming in front of St. Elizabeth’s Church at 7:40 a.m. was advised to calm down and leave the area.

Officers were called to Beach Road at 8:29 a.m. for a fight between neighbors.

Three people were removed from a Hope Street porch after a resident called police at 11:44 a.m.

At 6:35 p.m., a resident reported a wallet stolen from Mt. Hope High School.
