Clarice L. Flannery, 90, of Bristol

Ms. Clarice L. (Poirier) Flannery, age 90, of 180 Franklin St., Bristol, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. Anne’s Hospital, Fall River, Mass.  

Born and raised in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Lawrence (Levesque) Poirier. A resident of Bristol for 38 years, she previously resided in Swansea, Mass. 

Clarice was an activities coordinator for many years for the Clifton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Somerset, retiring in 1990. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol, an avid gardener, she was a member of the Bristol Garden Club, a volunteer for a number of years at Linden Place in Bristol and was an accomplished pianist.  

She is survived by three children Lynn E. Roberts (Richard E.) of Nashua, NH, James Jay Flannery, Jr. (Donna) and Kara A. Chester (Michael B.), both of Bristol; five grandchildren, Ryan D., Jeffrey M. and Keith S. Roberts, Zachary J. and Meghan L. Chester; and a sister, Murial Flannery of Swansea; and a brother, Laurent Poirier of Somerset.  

There was a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, July 18 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial followed in Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River, Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Court Activities Fund, 180 Franklin Street, Bristol, RI  02809.
