Mrs. Jennie (Cavalieri) Pacheco, age 90, of Congregational Street, Bristol, died Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Newport Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Raymond R. Pacheco, her husband of 52 years, who preceded her in death in December of 2001. Born in Bristol and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Domenic and Josephine (Grazioso) Cavalieri.
Jennie was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1946, and was the owner and operator of Jennie’s Beauty Shop, formerly on Congregational Street, Bristol, for over 40 years, retiring in 1990. A communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol, she was a former member of the Senior Choir and the former Children of Mary. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking and baking, and was well known for her holiday Italian cookies.
She is survived by two children, John R. Pacheco (Jeannette) and Jeanne L. Bundy (Cmdr. William F. Bundy, U.S. Navy, retired), both of Bristol; five grandchildren, William F. Bundy, Jr. (Kara) of Bethesda, Md., Raymond M. Bundy (Lisa) of Brockton, Mass., Raymond King (Lindsey) of Warwick, and David and Andrew Lemos, both of Bristol; four great-grandchildren, Ellie and Annie Bundy and Sawyer and Hayden King; and a sister, Irene Cavalieri of Bristol.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Frank, Peter and Lucy Cavalieri, Mary Gray, Carmella Lombardi and Catherine Tetreault.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
