John Abenate, 90, Warren

John Abenante, 90, of Warren, died Thursday, July 20 2017 at Hope Hospice. He was born in Providence a son of the late Rafael and Mary Abenante.

John was a factory worker with Carr–Fulflex for many years before retiring. Mr. Abenante was a Warren resident for more than 3 years, coming from Fall River and Bristol. John enjoyed dancing, taking cruises and going to Foxwoods.

Mr. Abenante is survived by his children, John P. Abenante of Warren, and Betty Morelli of Tempe Arizona. Mr. Abenante was the grandfather of nine, the great grandfather of 10, and also the uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Ronald Abenante and the late Cheryl Bellini. John was the brother of the late Louis, Ralph, his twin Frank, Anthony, Pasquale, Jimmy, Joseph Abenante, and the late Teresa DeFusco, Bridget O’Gara and Carmela Quick.

His funeral service will be held Monday, July 24, at 6:30 p.m., in the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Monday, 4-7 p.m.
