Julie C. (White) Wentzell, 87, of Orchard Avenue, Barrington, and formerly of Church Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert O. Wentzell.

Born in Dorchester, MA, a daughter of the late Samuel X. and Rita (Crowne) White, she was a resident of Barrington for the last 10 years. She previously resided in Bristol for 40 years and previous to that in Randolph, MA. Julie was a bookkeeper for Thomas W. Heald, Attorney at Law in Providence and for the R&D Construction Company in Warren, both for several years, retiring in the late 1990s. She previously worked for Fedra Designs Ltd. for eight years in East Providence and Providence.

She was a communicant of St. Luke’s Church, Barrington and a former communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bristol, and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society.

She is survived by five children, Samuel X. Wentzell (the late Carol) of Abington, MA, Robert O. Wentzell Jr. (Rose) of Breckenridge, CO, Fred A. Wentzell of Alma, CO, Diane M. Nichols (Bob) of Barrington and Mary-Jo A. Wentzell of Bristol; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John C. Wentzell and siblings, Mary R. Stevens and Frank X. White.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in St. Luke’s Church, 108 Washington Road, Barrington, RI. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, RI.
