Letter: Get involved(!) for the good of our schools

Posted

A wise man, Benjamin Franklin, once said, “An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.” With the school budget a hot topic and a looming vote, we ask all Bristol and Warren citizens to take notice.

Long-term planning to fully fund our schools this year and in the years to come is the right investment in our future citizens and community members. Quality schools benefit all segments of our community, not just families with school age children.

This is an opportunity for positive leadership and creative, forward-thinking solutions, which doesn’t necessarily have to mean higher taxes.

Let’s be aware! Let’s get involved!  Let’s prioritize education!

Come join as our school budget is being discussed.
