BRISTOL—The Huskies exploded for six runs in the bottom of the first inning and held on to beat Ponaganset 8-4 at Guiteras Field on Thursday afternoon.
The Huskies Started off with three straight hits from Charles Amarante, Cam Santerre and Caden Cabral off Ponaganset starter Mike Viveiros. Amarante scored off of Cabral’s single to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead. Clean up hitter Nick Simeone popped out.
