Rosalina Resendes, 90, of Bristol

Rosalina (Medeiros) Resendes, 90, of Jenkins Street, Bristol, passed away on May 28, 2018, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Manuel Martins Resendes.

Born in Cabouco, Lagoa, St. Michael, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Virginia do Carmo (Teixeira) Medeiros. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Edwin Resendes and his wife Mary, Louis Resendes and his wife Christa, Jorgina Lombardo and her husband Peter, John Resendes and his wife Erin, Lucia Micheletti and her husband Anthony; grandchildren Nina Agudelo, Amanda Resendes, Brittany Resendes, Jarred Resendes, Olivia Resendes, Victoria Lombardo, Madeline Lombardo, Abigail Lombardo, Teagan Resendes, Bianca Micheletti, Anthony Micheletti II, Gian Micheletti and Jennifer Resendes; and great-grandchildren Alessandra Aguedlo, Matteto Agudelo, Haleigh Resendes and Nicole Cavalieri.

She was the sister of Maria Silva, Jose Medeiros, Ines Matos, Carlos Medeiros and Alfredo Medeiros.  She was the mother of the late Peter Resendes and sister of the late Manuel Medeiros and Joao Medeiros. 

Mrs. Resendes was educated in Portugal and employed by Carol Cable and Converse before retiring.

Her funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5, at 10 a.m., from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours are Monday, June 4, from 5 to 8 p.m.
