Born and raised in Warren, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Mary Louise (Contois) Caisse. A resident of Bristol for 75 years, she worked for the former Carr Fulflex Corp. in Bristol for 30 years, retiring in 1974.

A woman of great faith, she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Bristol. She loved knitting, well known for her beautiful sweaters and many knitted hats and booties for newborns at Women’s and Infants Hospital for many years.

A fabulous cook, she loved cooking for large groups of family and friends. Rosetta has enjoyed living at St. Elizabeth’s Manor for the past five years, making friends, sharing in the many activities and day trips, especially holding court and greeting people in the center atrium there. Her family gives special thanks to all the staff of St. Elizabeth’s Manor for their wonderful care and kindness toward Rosetta.

She is survived by four sons, Stephen McGovern of Philadelphia, Pa., David and Clifford McGovern, both of Bristol, and John J. McGovern, Jr. of Brunswick, Md.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Louis, Leo and George Caisse, Yvonne Lannville, Marilee Starck, Pauline Cappucelli and Anita Castro.
