Speak-Out: Town Council priorities, typical state worker

I’m calling about the most recent Town Council meeting. I’m wondering if ALL THE ISSUES IN BRISTOL HAVE BEEN SOLVED, in that the Town Council is addressing illegal immigration. They should have more faith in the police chief to be able to do the right thing. Also, I’m sure the arts people are doing great work, but I don’t understand why the town should be on the hook for all this money to do the renovations. I hope the administrator continues to hold their feet to the fire.”

I went Saturday to pick up my new patriotic plates. The Fourth of July volunteer were there bright and early and very efficient. However, was one of the “A’s” and to be there at 8, I got there early and THE STATE, AS USUAL, WAS LATE. I’m not sure if the person overslept or was not organized but at least a half hour late. So people were in line through the doors and the plates had not shown up yet. Typical state worker. Too bad.

I was wondering why cars are allowed to PARK AT UNION STREET BEACH PERMANENTLY. There are no signs for overnight parking, so cars can park there continuously, and they do so for several months. I think this should be a place for all of the town to use, not just a few select individuals who choose to park there.”

I just want to voice my opinion on that wonderful write-up IN HONOR OF ELVIS PAIVA, who passed away. He will surely be missed.
