Young Bristol and Warren musicians take the stage at KMS

Music filled the air inside the Kickemuit Middle School Auditorium Tuesday night as members of the sixth-grade band performed a series of tunes during its “First Performance” under the direction of Jeffrey Brackett and Melissa Labonte.

These up and coming young musicians featured the trombone, baritone horn, and tuba sections; the French Horn and trumpet sections; the flute and clarinet sections; and the saxophone and percussion sections.

Among the selections were “Time for Band,” “Hot Cross Buns,” “Au Clair de la Lune,” “Good King Wenceslas,” “Farm Out,“ “Lightly Row, ”Merrily We Roll Along,” “Jolly Old St. Nick,” “Sweetly Sings the Donkey,” “Jingle Bells,” and the “Theme from Symphony No. 9, Ode to Joy.”

Musicians included Megan Almeida, Avery Ferreira, Jessie Fletcher, Cameron Fludder, Rachael Thurston, Lyla Birch, Norah Gordon, Sean Hunt, Elena Oliveira, and Aaden Real — flutes; Jordan Adams, Nathan Calouro, Jace Goldstein, Grace Martens, Emily Cabral, Maguire Camelo, Maya Lavey, Sydney Sousa, Collin Miller, and Corrinne Miller — clarinets; Emari Green, Dylan Manchester, Emily Moran, Lyle Shaw, Chenxiang Ma, Jasmine Raymond, and Eliza White — alto saxophones.

Also, Mara Machado and Emily Couto — French horns; Lucas Andreozzi, Aralyn Bradshaw, Callie DaPonte, Jacob Ferreira, Caleb High, Qyayshon Jordan, Raymond Murray, Marcus Richardson, Analucia Romero, Cole Viccione, Zachary Rivera, Matthew Sampson, Talen Andrews, Eva Colj Aj, Luke Daniel, Brayden Hartnett, Gideon Lane, Matthew MacDougall, Liam Dutra, Jacob Salinger, Andrew Moran, and J.J. Pimental —trumpets.

Also, Jackson Corrado, David Lowney, Ethan Martel, Evan Rodrigues, Ethan Santerre, Rasheed Bradock, Skylar Bonniol, Cohen Ferreira, Colby Kanz, Alex Mancieri, and Zachary Neal — trombones; Nathaniel Oliveira and Joshua Reis — baritone horns; Calem Furtado, Andrew Rhynard, and Nathaniel Fisher — tubas; and Miguel Ferraz, Savanna Octaviano, Adan Montalvo, Quinn Frawley, Aidan Gagner, Maxine Scott, and Gianna Singh —percussion.

The next performance will be held on Tuesday, March 12, at the All Bands Concert at Roger Williams University.
