LITTLE COMPTON — Town beach commissioner Jim Farrell late Thursday morning announced that South Shore Beach will close Thursday, Sept. 2, at 9 p.m., with re-opening to be determined early Friday morning. Staff will be at the beach at 4 a.m. both Friday and Saturday mornings, and a decision will be made then whether or not to reopen for the day.
