WATER SYSTEM OPERATOR


The North Tiverton Fire District is seeking a water system operator/ laborer, Class T-1 and D-1 RI Drinking Water Operator licenses preferred. Persons without licenses are encouraged to apply. This is an ideal opportunity for an applicant with related experience (water main construction laborer, plumbing, maintenance, etc.). Responsibili- ties include; installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of the water system distribution and treat- ment facilities, components and mains including pipe, valves, hy- drants, pumps, electrical controls, chemical feed systems, etc. Work- ing in trenches in all weather condi- tions required. Respond to system alarms and emergencies on a 24- hour, 7-day per week rotating basis, with a maximum response time of 20 minutes.
