Thanks to all who helped WHS freshman hoops team

To the editor:

Members of the freshman class at Westport High School were faced with the task of raising the monies necessary to fund a freshman basketball team. Without their efforts the school would not be able to field a team this season. With the help of concerned individuals and local businesses, the young student-athletes were able to reach their goal.

The parents and players of the 2009-2010 Westport High Freshman Boys Basketball team would like to extend their thanks to the many businesses and individuals who helped in this effort: Acoaxet Veterinary Clinic, Nick's Pizza, K&B Floor Covering, Inc., Pacheco Insurance, Key Container Corp. of Pawtucket, RI, AG Bettencourt, Capeway Roofing Systems, Inc., Olympia Pizza, Sticks, Stones & Stars, Four Elements Salon & Spa, Bruce's Saw Shop, Mason's Corner, Sisters of Solace, In Harmony Therapeutic Massage, Westport Boys Basketball League, Lees Market, Law Office of Michael T.
