Former university employee was active in his church
Guilherme B. “Bill” Milhomens, 76, of Jessica Drive, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Maria Hirondina (Cabral) Milhomens.
Born in Pico da Pedra, Azores, he was the son of the late Guilherme and Isabel (de Brum) Milhomens. He was employed as custodian for Roger Williams University before retiring in 1997 and was active in the Santissima Trinidade at St. Elizabeth Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Filomena Costa, Lucia Calisto and Maggie Almeida, all of Bristol, seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Kristina, Kevin, Brian, Jenna, Megan and Adam, and four sisters, Angelina Felix, Gilda DaSilva, Susanna Santos and Alda Faria, all of Canada. He was the brother of the late Maria StaRita, Manuel and Francisco Milhomens.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 2, from the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Church. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bristol.
